Description

Cheesy Halloween Breadstick Bones are the ultimate spooky snack! Made from pizza dough, brushed with butter, baked golden with Parmesan, topped with gooey mozzarella, and served with marinara “blood” dip. Creepy-cute, fun, and guaranteed to be your must-try Halloween appetizer this year!

Ingredients

For the Base:
• 1 lb pizza dough
• 2 tbsp butter, melted

For the Topping:
• ½ cup Parmesan cheese
• 1 cup mozzarella cheese

For Decoration:
• Marinara, for dipping

Instructions

1️⃣ Shape the Bones
• Preheat oven to 375°F and line baking sheets.
• Divide dough into 8-inch ropes, then snip ends to form bone shapes.
• Pinch ends slightly to make bone shapes more defined.

2️⃣ Flavor & Bake
• Brush dough with melted butter.
• Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
• Bake for 15 minutes until golden, rotating trays halfway through.

3️⃣ Add the Cheese
• Remove from oven and sprinkle with mozzarella.
• Return to oven for 5–7 minutes until bubbly.
• Broil for 1 minute if extra gooey cheese is desired.

4️⃣ Serve with “Blood”
• Arrange breadsticks on a platter.
• Serve warm with marinara sauce in a small cauldron bowl for a spooky touch.

Notes

  • Make ahead: Shape the dough into bones earlier in the day, then bake fresh before serving.

  • For crispier bones, roll dough thinner before baking.

  • Add garlic powder or Italian seasoning to the butter for extra flavor.

  • Best served warm but can be reheated in the oven for 5 minutes.

  • Kid-friendly and perfect for Halloween parties, spooky movie nights, or themed appetizers.
