  • Author: Joriel
  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes (includes chilling)
  • Yield: 6 mousse cups
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Silky mousse, rich chocolate ganache, and crunchy Oreos come together in these dreamy dessert cups! 🖤 Each one is layered with no-bake mousse, drizzled chocolate, and topped with a whole Oreo swirl. Whether for parties, holidays, or just a midweek treat—these cups are next-level indulgence in every spoonful!

Ingredients

Oreo Mousse:
• 1½ cups heavy whipping cream, cold
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• ½ cup powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 12 Oreo cookies, crushed (with filling)

Chocolate Ganache:
• ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
• ½ cup heavy cream

Layering & Topping:
• 12–16 Oreo cookies, chopped
• 6 whole Oreo cookies (for garnish)
• Optional: extra crushed Oreos for topping

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Ganache:
Heat heavy cream until steaming. Pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Cool slightly.

2️⃣ Prepare the Mousse:
Whip the heavy cream in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold in whipped cream, then fold in crushed Oreos gently.

3️⃣ Assemble the Cups:
Spoon mousse into each serving glass. Add chopped Oreos, then drizzle ganache. Repeat layers until nearly full. Top with piped mousse swirl and a whole Oreo.

4️⃣ Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with extra crumbs if desired.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: These mousse cups can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance. For best presentation, add garnishes like whipped topping or whole Oreos just before serving.

  • Storage: Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Not recommended for freezing, as the mousse may separate upon thawing.

  • Whipping Tip: Chill your mixing bowl and beaters before whipping the cream to help it set up faster and hold its shape better.

  • Cookie Texture: Use regular Oreos instead of double-stuffed to avoid excess moisture in the mousse. Crush by hand for a chunkier texture, or use a food processor for finer crumbs.

  • Dietary Swaps:

    • For low-sugar/keto: Use sugar-free sandwich cookies and powdered erythritol.

    • For dairy-free: Substitute coconut cream and vegan cream cheese.

  • Serving Idea: Present in mini mason jars, shot glasses, or stemless wine glasses for a party-perfect, mess-free dessert.

  • Flavor Variations: Try peanut butter, mint extract, or caramel drizzle for fun twists. Crust base can be added for a no-bake cheesecake effect.
