Ingredients

Cake:
• 3 ripe bananas
• 2 tsp lemon juice
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1½ tsp baking soda
• ¼ tsp salt
• 6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 3 large eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1½ cups buttermilk

Cream Cheese Frosting:
• 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
• 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 3½ cups powdered sugar


Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Cake Batter:
• Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
• In a bowl, mash bananas and lemon juice. Set aside.
• In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
• Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
• In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
• Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture.
• Stir in mashed banana mixture.

2️⃣ Bake:
• Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and pour in the batter.
• Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

3️⃣ Crazy Cooling Step:
• Immediately place the hot cake in the freezer for 1 hour.

4️⃣ Make the Frosting:
